4. Serrekunda Market
Colourful and noisy but not to be missed, beautiful materials, shoes, fresh fruit, veg, meat, Gambian tea or
Attaya, you name it you can get it here. Where all the local's go.
5. Abuko Nature Reserve
15 miles north of Banjul, a beautiful nature reserve home to many of the indigenous birds of Africa..
6. River Gambia National Park This park known as Baboon Island comprises of 5 flat islands,
lots to see, reptiles, birds and primates.
7. National Museum in Banjul.

9. Tanji Fishing Village See
the colourful boats bringing their fresh catch in and the fishermen selling all types of fish to
the locals and tourists. See also the smoking sheds where fish is prepared and smoked ready for export around the world.
10. Albert Market, Banjul Where you can buy anything you can think of including Batik/tie
and dye material.
11. Serrekunda Batik Factory Where you can see how the local women
make the Batik material and also buy whatever material you want. If you want the women will make you up your own individual
and unique design.
12. Makasutu (meaning Holy Forest) A beautiful nature reserve
where you can see baboons, monkeys different types of birds and where you can also stay in floating/stilted villas on the
river. This is indeed Paradise and a place NOT to be missed.
